They are our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends and they can be ourselves.<\/h5>\n<p><hr class=\"no_line\" style=\"margin: 0 auto 10px auto\"\/>\n<br \/>\n<big>This isn&#8217;t a matter or solution that rests solely on the government. There is limited social welfare, limited resources withing the care industry. It is our challenge, for us to help solve, and one where we see the benefit.<\/big><br \/>\n<div class=\"blockquote\"><span class=\"mfn-blockquote-icon\"><i class=\"icon-quote\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><blockquote class=\"mfn-inline-editor\">We are all much better off being a part of our community, being better connected and reflecting respect and appreciation. We all need help and the benefit of getting the help we need, when we need it is far greater than the cost of helping others when it&#8217;s easy and convenient.<br \/>\nDavid Toohey, Founder<\/blockquote><\/div>\n<br \/>\n<hr class=\"no_line\" style=\"margin: 0 auto 25px auto\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<h3>What is Support through Community Connection?<\/h3>\n<p><hr class=\"no_line\" style=\"margin: 0 auto 15px auto\"\/>\n<br \/>\nSome of the support that&#8217;s needed day-to-day can be provided by others in the community. It can be a hand with:<br \/>\n<hr class=\"no_line\" style=\"margin: 0 auto 5px auto\"\/>\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list_mixed\">\n<li class=\"list_check\">child minding<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">pet sitting<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">household chores such as cleaning, washing or ironing<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">meals or a hand cooking<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">gardening or mowing<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">shopping<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">help with travel<\/li>\n<li class=\"list_check\">and many more things that don&#8217;t require higher skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Providing this assistance from within the community means a budget can be stretched much further on more skilled help or on other needs.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"no_line\" style=\"margin: 0 auto 10px auto\"\/>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><big><\/big><div class=\"hr_zigzag\" style=\"margin:0 auto 15px\"><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><big>The beauty is we all need a hand at times, whether we are disadvantaged or not.<\/big><br \/>\n<div class=\"hr_zigzag\" style=\"margin:0 auto 15px\"><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"icon-down-open\" style=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This approach means everyone is a part of their same neighbourhood, the same community.
